WHO WE ARE

We are the Anglican Church in Berlin. St George’s is part of the world-wide Anglican Communion and belongs to the Church of England’s Diocese of Gibraltar in Europe.

The Pastor, Christopher Jage-Bowler, is English and the Assistant Pastor, Irene Ahrens, is German. We celebrate services in two locations in the city of Berlin: St George’s Church in Neu-Westend and in also in Berlin Mitte. Our language of worship is English but our thriving congregation comes from all over the world.

WHAT TO EXPECT

St George’s is a welcoming, open, inclusive community with members from all age groups, backgrounds and circumstances.

We believe in worshipping God both in Church and out and aim to share a sense of God’s reality, his love for this world and the beauty and joy of his presence in our lives. You are welcome to share in our worship, whether you are Anglican or not, and to receive the Eucharist if you would usually do so in your own home church.
